No it existed well before ZQ's were introduced. People had been doing /roll , RPS, and red resign type things in order to farm commander points. All ZQ's did was make it more prevalent because there were more people playing for the rewards over the enjoyment of the game.

The only way RR gets resolved is if there is no reward at all besides enjoyment of the game. Meaning no title, no balth faction, nothing.

It's dead. Infact, I would go as far to say that it's actually got fewer people than the HB and TA that it "replaced".
Hell, even HA is getting fewer and fewer districts. I remember when HA was 4-5 districts all the time. Now it struggles to pack-out 3.

GvG is the only competitive pvp left in this dead game. And really - who cares about the "new" players? Nobody's "starting" to play this game anymore, not when there're newer "shinier" games out there.
The fact is, there are more options available than you realise. Clearly you aren't a competitive GvGer yourself, otherwise you would realise that there is more than just Balanced. Fact is, the community dictates their choice of fair, honourable and reasonably powered builds. There are options to play ridiculously overpowered gimmicks (Ohai 5x Seeping Wound), but the community doesn't take those options on the whole because it undermines fair and sportsmanlike gameplay.

Yes, i hate codex. I played 3 matches and said "this is dumb". However, gvg is just as bad as HB and TA was when it came to abuse. I know deals were made and people flopped in gvg..i was one of them. Either way, breaking meta would be good. Get the fatties up and make them think more about the builds to run...maybe make them incorporate some more tactics ad kiting instead of head on collisions. GvG is really boring stuff now. It seems to be a dump truck running over a Honda lately. GROSS!!!

The simple solution to RR was add dishonorable to HB, its in every other pvp area, heck even roller beetle racing has it.

GvG and HA are both terrible: infested with rupt bots, guilds that resign for other guilds for champ points, elitists, ragers, finger-pointers, malicious pricks on a /kick-frenzy, intolerable fame-(double you)hores who think that a glowy animal animation's are going get them any form of respect.

I can't wait for the day when Anet officially pulls the plug on Guild Wars because it's degraded to an irreversible degree.
